The Mason

The Mason is a joint venture with Monday Properties and Melrose Multifamily.

The Mason, a 264-unit Class-A apartment community with resort-style amenities, started construction in September of 2018. Greystar, the property management company started leasing in November of 2019. Leasing stayed strong through the pandemic. Rents were projected to be $1.32 per square foot at the sale but ended up being $1.38 per square foot. Original projections were for a sale at $192,000 per door. The Mason closed on June 6, 2021, at a 4.42 cap rate and a sales price of $53,000,000 or approximately $201,000 per door.

The team of the architect, contractor, and Greystar were a key component to the success of the project.
